Spa Therapist – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Spa Therapist will deliver professional massage and body‑treatment services to guests at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort. The role involves assessing guest needs, ensuring safety, and promoting the spa’s service and retail offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services using appropriate props and products.
• Perform body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest health conditions and contraindications before each service.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Prepare and maintain workstations, treatment rooms, and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and sterilisation.
• Monitor guest comfort throughout the session and adjust as needed.
• Promote and sell spa services and retail products.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to time schedules and handle inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of experience in massage or spa services.
• Valid State or Regional Massage License as required by local regulations.
• Completed safety training and relevant certifications.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 10 lb.
• Strong attention to guest safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
