Specialist Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon – Government Facility, UAE

About the role

A leading government healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon to join its advanced surgical team. The role involves delivering comprehensive surgical management of complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions within a multidisciplinary, state‑of‑the‑art environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic diseases.
• Perform a range of cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery disease, valve, and aortic surgeries.
• Conduct pre‑operative assessments and oversee post‑operative patient care.
• Participate in both emergency and elective surgical services.
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, anesthetists, intensivists, radiologists, and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, audits, and quality improvement programs.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Significant post‑specialization experience performing cardiovascular surgical procedures independently.
• Qualifications such as UK CCT/FRCS, American Board, Australian FRACS, South African specialist credentials, or equivalent.
• Experience in a tertiary‑care or advanced cardiac centre is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient‑centred care orientation.
