Specialist Consultant Interventional Radiologist – Government Sector in UAE

About the role

A leading government healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist/Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join its advanced radiology team. The role involves delivering image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for a wide range of vascular and non‑vascular conditions in a modern, well‑equipped environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a broad spectrum of image‑guided interventional radiology procedures, including vascular and non‑vascular minimally invasive interventions.
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and conduct pre‑procedure assessments and post‑procedure follow‑up.
• Carry out image‑guided biopsies, drainages, and other therapeutic interventions.
• Review and interpret CT, MRI, ultrasound, and angiographic imaging.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, oncologists, vascular specialists, emergency physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhere to patient safety and infection‑control standards, and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical qualification with a recognized postgraduate degree in Radiology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Interventional Radiology.
• Significant post‑specialization experience performing image‑guided vascular and non‑vascular procedures.
• Credentials such as UK CCT/FRCR, American Board, Australian Board/FRANZCR, South African specialist qualification, or equivalent.
• Experience in a tertiary‑care hospital or advanced interventional radiology centre is preferred.
