Specialist Digitalization Engineer – Greenfield Projects

About the role

The Specialist Digitalization Engineer (Greenfield) will lead digital engineering, information management and smart‑asset initiatives for a major offshore project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures integration of digital twins, asset information models and data governance from FEED through EPC, commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project digitalization strategy and governance aligned with ADNOC offshore standards.
• Lead digital engineering and smart‑asset methodologies, creating and maintaining Project Information Models (PIM) and Asset Information Models (AIM).
• Oversee Digital Twin and smart‑asset development, ensuring design data is ready for lifecycle management.
• Coordinate integration between engineering design, document management, asset management and control systems.
• Establish data quality standards, conduct audits and manage data cleansing, validation and migration.
• Support construction, commissioning and hand‑over by delivering digital packages and validating operational readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years experience in oil & gas or major infrastructure projects and at least 7 years in digitalization, information management or smart‑asset implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Automation, Computer Science or related discipline; Master’s degree in Digital Engineering or Data Management is advantageous.
• Proven experience on greenfield offshore EPC/EPCI projects, preferably with ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy or major international oil majors, and demonstrated delivery of Digital Twin and Asset Information Management solutions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Azure Digital Twin, SAP PM/EAM, IBM Maximo, Primavera P6, SharePoint and document management systems.
