Specialist in Dermatology & Cosmetology

About the role

The Specialist in Dermatology & Cosmetology will deliver comprehensive skin care services, combining clinical dermatology with aesthetic treatments. This position involves direct patient interaction, diagnosis, treatment planning, and procedural work within a leading Abu Dhabi health facility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for dermatological and cosmetic conditions.
• Prescribe medications, perform therapies, and carry out relevant procedures or surgeries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities.
• Provide supervision, mentorship, and education to junior medical staff, residents, and students.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, obtaining informed consent for procedures.
• Adhere to hospital policies, DOH regulations, occupational health, safety, and infection control protocols.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Completed residency or fellowship in dermatology/cosmetology.
• Minimum 2–3 years of post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility to practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Current medical license from the most recent practicing country and a Certificate of Good Standing.
• Successful completion of the DOH licensing examination.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
