Specialist, Smart Field (Surface Facilities)

About the role

The Specialist, Smart Field (Surface Facilities) will provide technical expertise to optimise oil and gas production through real‑time dynamic modelling and smart‑well technologies. Working closely with the Field Development Division, the role focuses on improving reservoir recovery, balanced injection‑production processes and well surveillance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical background and summaries on Digital Oil Field (DOF) concepts for operational issues.
• Identify, evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance field operations.
• Support DOF programmes related to rig‑less operations, testing, stimulation and optimisation of producing, water‑supply and injection wells.
• Participate in commissioning, field trials, performance monitoring and reporting.
• Survey the market for gas‑lift optimisation techniques, plan pilot studies and propose wider application.
• Collaborate with petroleum development units to use downhole pressure, temperature, flow‑rate data and control valves for DOF implementation.
• Advise on remote monitoring, control and surveillance tools for reservoir management.
• Initiate project TORs and SOWs, conduct technical evaluations and map production‑management processes.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate activities in the assigned area and train staff on relevant skills.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years (120 months) relevant experience in oil‑field development, digital oil‑field projects or related technical roles.
