Lead Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Rejlers International Engineering Solutions is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi operations. The role involves leading and executing multiple oil & gas, refinery and petrochemical projects, both locally and internationally, while ensuring compliance with ADNOC and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering design review and analysis for major and smaller projects, preparing electrical documents and drawings.
• Prepare and finalize the Engineering Document Deliverable Register (EDDR) and coordinate submissions with clients and disciplines.
• Produce electrical design deliverables using MS‑Office, SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), AutoCAD, Micro‑Station, ETAP, cable sizing and lighting calculation tools (DiaLux).
• Review vendor documents, generate procurement RFQs, and ensure compliance with purchase order requirements.
• Coordinate inter‑discipline reviews, obtain client approvals, and support HAZOP, FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate (BSc or MSc) with a minimum of 15 years of electrical engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical industries.
• At least 8 years in a senior role, with proven experience on FEED and EPC projects delivered to ADNOC standards.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage; able to work on‑site in the UAE and meet visa requirements.

• ETAP, cable sizing, lighting calculation (DiaLux), relay setting and coordination, CT sizing.
• Knowledge of ADNOC standards, IEC, BS, OHL, GIS, EHT, VSD, OLCMS, IPCS, C.P.
