Specialist Smart Plant Engineer (Greenfield)

About the role

Wood is looking for a Specialist Smart Plant Engineer to join the PMC team on a major ADNOC offshore greenfield project in Abu Dhabi. The engineer will oversee the implementation, integration and governance of SmartPlant applications and engineering information management systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure and maintain SmartPlant tools including Foundation, P&ID, Instrumentation, Electrical and 3D.
• Act as the primary PMC point of contact for SmartPlant systems and engineering data management.
• Monitor EPC contractor usage of SmartPlant applications and ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and project data governance.
• Develop and enforce digital engineering workflows, data quality standards and metadata management.
• Coordinate data interfaces between SmartPlant and other project applications.
• Support engineering disciplines in managing project engineering databases, catalogs, templates and naming conventions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with SmartPlant engineering applications in oil & gas or similar large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering data governance, information management and digital engineering standards.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and ensure data integrity across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
