Staff Nurse – ICU/HDU/VIP/CCC/MICU

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Nurse to join the critical care team at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients in ICU, HDU, VIP, CCC and MICU settings, ensuring safety, comfort and optimal recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, including comprehensive assessment, care planning and evaluation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Administer pre‑ and post‑operative care, monitor vital signs and manage medication safely.
• Respond to emergency situations such as Code Blue and Rapid Response calls.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and recovery processes.
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ventilators, CRRT machines and invasive monitoring devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies, infection control and waste management protocols.
• Mentor junior staff and support continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid nursing license for the UAE.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in intensive care nursing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to handle high‑pressure emergency situations with professionalism.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) operation.
• Invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• ACLS certification.
