Staff Nurse – OPD Surgical Clinic

About the role

The Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the Out‑Patient Department (OPD) Surgical Clinic, supporting patients and families throughout their care journey. This role involves direct patient care, education, and coordination of services to ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to identify patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to organizational policies.
• Document all aspects of the care plan, modifications, and patient responses using standardized terminology.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and ensure continuity during transitions.
• Monitor resource utilization and adhere to professional nursing codes of conduct for Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Nursing Scope of Practice and Professional Nurses Code of Conduct.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across the continuum.
• Strong communication skills for patient, family, and team interactions.
