Staff Nurse – OPD Surgical – Urology

About the role

The Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the Out‑Patient Department (OPD) for surgical urology patients at SSMC. The role involves direct patient care, education, and coordination of care transitions while upholding the hospital’s mission, vision, and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to identify patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, evidence‑based individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement care plans, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to established protocols.
• Document all aspects of care, including plan modifications, using standardized terminology.
• Communicate relevant patient information across all levels of care to ensure continuity.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical urology patients.
• Commitment to professional ethics, the Nursing Code of Conduct, and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in evidence‑based assessment techniques.
• Medication administration and procedural competency.
• Accurate clinical documentation using standardized language.
