Storekeeper

About the role

Accor is hiring a full-time Storekeeper in Dubai. The role covers receiving goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with hotel departments and suppliers, and keeping the storeroom organised and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders for quantity and quality, and document any discrepancies or damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular stock checks and update inventory databases.
• Organise and store items properly to ensure easy access and prevent spoilage or damage.
• Keep detailed records of receipts, returns and inventory adjustments for auditing.
• Coordinate with hotel departments such as the kitchen and housekeeping to meet their inventory needs and ensure timely replenishment.
• Communicate with suppliers about deliveries, returns and inventory issues.
• Follow health and safety rules in the storage area and keep it clean and safe.
• Apply first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices to minimise waste and keep perishables fresh.
• Prepare reports on inventory usage, discrepancies and stock levels for management decisions.
• Develop emergency procedures for hazardous materials and supply chain disruptions, and regularly assess supplier performance.

Required profile

• Experience as a storekeeper, warehouse clerk or inventory assistant, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to lift and move heavy stock when needed.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of food safety and storage guidelines; HACCP knowledge is a plus.
