Subject Matter Expert – Military Operations (C4I)

About the role

The SME – Military Operations (C4I) bridges warfighters and engineers, ensuring that system architectures and applications meet real‑world operational concepts across land, sea and air domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and translate Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) into detailed functional and non‑functional requirements for C4I hardware and software.
• Act as the primary liaison between program managers, engineers and government stakeholders to clarify mission intent and operational constraints.
• Participate in design reviews, create operational test plans, and evaluate prototypes using digital twins, wargaming simulations and live‑fire exercises.
• Track emerging threats and TTPs, guide AI/ML model training, and develop training material for engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in a military or engineering‑related field.
• 10+ years of active‑duty service or senior military operations experience.
• Strong understanding of C4I architecture, tactical data links, ISR and battle‑management systems.
• Familiarity with Joint Doctrine, service‑specific doctrine and NATO STANAGs.
