Subject Matter Expert – Oil & Gas (Arabic & English) – Remote

About the role

LILT AI is seeking an experienced Oil & Gas professional to act as a Subject Matter Expert for an AI benchmarking project focused on Modern Standard Arabic in the GCC energy sector. You will work remotely, creating realistic technical scenarios that reflect the operational, engineering and regulatory challenges of upstream, midstream and downstream activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑quality Oil & Gas scenarios in Arabic or English that mirror GCC operational contexts such as drilling, production optimisation, LNG logistics and HSE incidents.
• Adapt and apply structured evaluation rubrics for technical problem‑solving tasks.
• Review AI‑generated and human‑generated responses for technical accuracy, safety compliance and operational realism.
• Contribute to the creation of “gold‑standard” solutions that embody industry best practices.

Required profile

• Native speaker of Arabic (MSA) with strong professional English proficiency.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Oil & Gas or Energy (upstream, midstream or downstream).
• Background in at least one of the following roles: Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, HSE, Process Engineering, LNG/Gas Operations, Procurement or Energy Transition.
• Deep understanding of operational workflows, safety protocols and regulatory requirements in GCC energy environments.
