Sustainability Consultant – Construction & Site Supervision

About the role

AESG is looking for a proactive Sustainability Consultant to lead on‑site sustainability services across multiple high‑profile construction projects in the UAE. You will ensure compliance with green building rating systems, coordinate with contractors and design teams, and support certification documentation throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections, prepare observation reports and track sustainability compliance.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings and contractor method statements for certification requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design teams to gather required documentation.
• Support LEED, Estidama, WELL, Mostadam, Fitwel, Al Sa’fat and other certification submissions and authority approvals.
• Monitor construction waste management, IAQ measures, erosion control and overall environmental compliance.
• Maintain construction trackers, NCRs and close‑out reports; assist with commissioning coordination and handover documentation.
• Attend client, contractor and coordination meetings to provide technical sustainability guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in sustainability consulting or construction supervision within the UAE/GCC.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, material approvals and site coordination processes.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills; ability to manage multiple fast‑paced projects.

Required skills

• Experience with green building certifications: LEED, Estidama, WELL, Mostadam, Fitwel, Al Sa’fat.
• Relevant accreditations (LEED AP, Estidama PQP, WELL AP) preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with project management/document control platforms such as ACC, Aconex or SharePoint.
