Tax Lead – Corporate Tax, VAT & Transfer Pricing

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UAE financial institution that is building a digital‑first, AI‑enabled bank. As the Tax Lead, you will establish and head the tax function, covering Corporate Tax, VAT and Transfer Pricing, and work closely with the Director of Financial Control and key business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own Corporate Tax and VAT compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings.
• Establish and maintain tax registrations across relevant UAE tax regimes.
• Manage tax provisions and accruals, ensuring correct recognition within financial statements.
• Develop and maintain Transfer Pricing policies, documentation and reporting aligned with UAE and OECD requirements.
• Advise Finance and business teams on tax implications of products, transactions and structures.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities, audits, enquiries and regulatory requirements while implementing AI‑enabled tax compliance processes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of tax experience in banking, financial services or professional services, including leadership of a tax function.
• Deep expertise in UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and Transfer Pricing.
• Proven experience building tax processes, policies and controls within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE tax regulations, including Corporate Tax, VAT, Pillar Two, DMTT and OECD Transfer Pricing guidance.
• Professional qualifications such as CTA, ADIT, ACA, ACCA or CPA are highly desirable.
