Teacher of History (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Nord Anglia International School Dubai is seeking a qualified History teacher to cover a maternity leave. The role is full‑time and based on our flagship campus, delivering the British curriculum across IGCSE, A‑Level and the International Baccalaureate programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging History lessons for secondary students.
• Prepare students for IGCSE, A‑Level and IB examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects.
• Utilise the school’s educational technology platforms to enhance learning.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching History at secondary level, preferably within the UK National Curriculum framework.
• Familiarity with IGCSE, A‑Level and IB History specifications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for History.
• Understanding of IGCSE, A‑Level and IB assessment requirements.
• Proficiency with educational technology tools used for lesson planning and delivery.
