Biology Teacher

About the role

ADNOC Schools is seeking high‑performing Biology Teachers to start in January 2027 at the Ruwais Campus in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering the Massachusetts State Curriculum and preparing students for US university entry.

Key responsibilities

• Create a climate for learning that encourages outstanding practice and high expectations.
• Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and set challenging tasks.
• Differentiate instruction for SEN and highly able students using performance data.
• Maintain discipline and promote punctuality, behavior, and standards of work.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies, effective questioning, and appropriate resources.
• Assess learning objectives, mark work bi‑weekly, and provide progress targets.
• Prepare reports for parents and contribute to curriculum development.
• Engage in professional development and undertake additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s in Biology or related science and a PGCE or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in the subject.
• Experience teaching English as an additional language.
• Clean enhanced DBS or police check.
• Passionate, caring, and respectful of the school community.
