About the role

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is seeking a UAE National Teaching Assistant to support classroom learning across the curriculum. The role involves assisting teachers, preparing resources, and fostering a positive learning environment for pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to groups or individuals, using school policies and teaching methods such as phonics and math strategies.
• Record pupil activities and assist with administrative tasks, including preparing resources, setting up the classroom, and creating displays.
• Encourage pupil independence through questioning, modeling, and supporting personal organization and hygiene.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, supervise them during breaks, trips, transitions, and specialist lessons, and manage behaviour positively.
• Collaborate with class teachers on lesson preparation, maintain confidentiality, and report concerns about pupils.
• Contribute flexibly to the wider school community and seek professional development opportunities.

Required profile

• UAE National.
• Minimum high school certificate.
• At least 1 year experience as a teaching assistant.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to support children in all aspects of school life.
