Team Leader – Energy & Process (Oil & Gas)

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee inspection activities within the Energy & Process division, focusing on oil & gas, process industry, power and utilities projects in Abu Dhabi. The role reports to the Project Manager and coordinates closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Project Coordinator, Inspection Coordinators and all TPIs on site.
• Act as liaison between the client, PMC and inspection teams, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct at least one internal audit every six months and assess inspector performance.
• Review, endorse and forward site inspection reports and weekly/monthly client reports.
• Manage inspection assignment packages, ITP reviews and client interventions.
• Participate in weekly quality meetings, pre‑inspection meetings and resolve non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering graduate (or 3‑year engineering diploma) with a minimum of 10 years (graduate) or 15 years (diploma) site experience in oil & gas projects.
• At least two similar projects completed, including one as Team Leader on an ADNOC project.
• UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Any of: CSWIP 3.1, BGAS Level 2, ASNT Level 2, PCN Level 2, or equivalent inspector certification.
• Strong knowledge of API codes, standards, project specifications and procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
