Team Leader – Import Operations

About the role

The Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee Import operations within its Trade Finance division. The role ensures efficient processing of import letters of credit, mortgage registrations, and related asset product activities while maintaining high standards of security and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with offshore teams to meet SLA and TAT for all import trade transactions.
• Review and approve high‑value import LCs, back‑to‑back LCs, and related loan structures.
• Collaborate with internal departments (IT, Treasury, FI, FC) to resolve transaction issues promptly.
• Maintain daily GL balances for WIP, payable and receivable accounts, and address discrepancies.
• Monitor and resolve customer complaints, ensuring they do not recur.
• Handle complex transaction drafts, claims, and court orders related to imports.
• Prepare periodic MIS reports for management on import activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Management, Services or a related commercial discipline.
• CDCS certification.
• 8‑10 years of banking experience, with at least 5 years in a team‑lead capacity.
• Proven experience in trade finance, especially import transactions.
