THAAD Field Engineer (OCONUS - Clearance)

About the role

The successful candidate will serve as a Field Engineer for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Missile Defense System supporting United Arab Emirates (UAE) THAAD fire units. Working under the THAAD Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program, you will provide field and sustainment level maintenance, troubleshooting, and training to ensure system readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver field and sustainment maintenance support for UAE THAAD fire units, including software, hardware, cabling, electrical, and network systems.
• Create, update, and close Maintenance Actions (MA) within required timeframes.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings; collect and deliver system data files from TFCC and launchers.
• Perform Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) for battery sustainment operations.
• Maintain and calibrate special tools, inspect equipment for corrosion, and support corrosion mitigation.
• Execute Missile Prevention and Maintenance Checks (PMCS) and annual missile round maintenance.
• Manage Liquid Propellant Accident Response Team (LPART) suits and equipment, and oversee missile round pallet handling.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of technician experience in field and sustainment operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
• U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. passport.
• Active Secret‑level (or higher) security clearance.
• Ability to work in austere environments with limited western amenities.
