Trainee Approval Engineer

About the role

As a Trainee Approval Engineer you will support project teams with technical analyses, documentation, and reporting while building practical expertise in offshore structures and ship design. The role combines fundamental engineering principles with the use of engineering software tools and close collaboration with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project teams in performing technical analyses and preparing documentation.
• Generate reports and support the approval process for offshore and ship design projects.
• Utilise engineering software tools to model and evaluate designs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams to ensure project delivery.
• Participate in the DNV Emirati Development Programme, including rotations and hands‑on field exposure.

Required profile

• Recent Emirati university graduate with a degree in engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in offshore structures and ship design.
• Motivation to develop technical and professional skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
