Utilities Technician I - Factory

About the role

Join MBRF, a leading global food company, as a Utilities Technician I in its Abu Dhabi factory. You will be responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of boiler house equipment and related utilities, ensuring safe and efficient production support.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boiler house machinery, thermal fluid heaters, air compressors, dryers, pumps, and water‑treatment systems.
• Perform corrective, preventive and scheduled maintenance following the Kanban system.
• Monitor equipment parameters, conduct laboratory analysis, and keep accurate activity reports.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, HACCP, fire‑fighting and food‑safety procedures.
• Handle chemicals, tools and personal protective equipment safely.
• Support housekeeping and maintain a clean work environment.

Required profile

• Technical diploma (minimum 2 years) in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in operation and maintenance of boilers and air compressors within the food/FMCG industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of boiler water‑quality analysis, chemical/fuel handling, and relevant local codes.
• Familiarity with HSE policies, food‑safety standards and asset‑management practices.
• Basic communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.
