About the role
Provide comprehensive and professional administrative support to the Accident & Emergency ward, enabling nursing and medical staff to focus on quality clinical care.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administration support to the ward/unit.
- Provide patient administration support.
- Receive patients into the ward/unit.
- Ensure clinical and non-clinical stock is sufficient and effectively controlled.
- Actively promote patient satisfaction.
- Ensure medical insurance information of patients is up to date and correct.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Grade 12).
- Secretarial Diploma and/or basic nursing background is an advantage.
- At least 1 year experience in an administrative or similar position.
- Experience in an administrative or similar position in the healthcare industry is an advantage.
Required skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office package).
- Insurance claim procedures.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Medical terminology.
- Knowledge of patient care support procedures.
- Understanding of stock control processes and systems.
