About the role

Prepare accurate and efficient estimates for all warranty jobs in line with the Warranty Policy, ensuring all requirements are met to raise successful claims.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all required warranty details are present on the repair order before costing repairs and replacements.
• Attach all necessary warranty documents to the repair order and report any non‑claimable hours to the Service Manager and Warranty Controller.
• Return repair orders with discrepancies to the Quality Controller, marking issues clearly in red ink under the “Rectify following processes” stamp.
• Generate costing reports as requested by the Service Manager, Warranty Controller or Manager.
• Confirm correct parts pricing and appropriate warranty accounts before invoicing.
• Minimise warranty work‑in‑progress (WIP) and clear pending WIP in the Autoline system.
• Invoice JLR extended warranty repairs after completion and forward invoices to the Warranty Controller within two weeks of PAR approval.

Required profile

• High school or undergraduate qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience costing repair orders in an automotive franchise, preferably within a warranty department.

Required skills

• Automobile Trade Certificate or equivalent.
• Proficient use of PC.
• Accurate and efficient typing ability.
