AC and Refrigeration Technician

About the role

The AC and Refrigeration Technician supports Westin Dubai Marina guests by responding to repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on building systems. This full‑time position works on‑site in a hotel environment, ensuring comfort, safety and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests, communicate solutions and resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools, kitchen and mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, test and troubleshoot air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and pneumatic systems.
• Carry out minor painting, drywall, wood‑trim repairs and landscaping upkeep, including sprinkler maintenance.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar facility.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work at heights or on ladders.

Required skills

• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Plumbing repairs (e.g., unclogging drains, toilet fixes).
• Pneumatic/electronic controls and basic carpentry.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
