A/C & Refrigeration Technician

About the role

The Le Meridien in Fujairah is looking for an A/C and refrigeration technician to handle guest repair requests and general maintenance across the property. The role covers air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and related systems, and requires a driver's licence.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests, communicating clearly with guests and customers
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines, identify and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
• Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing (plunge toilets, unclog drains), electrical components, lamps, switches and outlets, and guestroom items
• Replace A/C filters, paint, repair minor drywall and wood trim, and clean up work areas
• Program TVs, do general housekeeping and engineering inventory, and perform landscaping and sprinkler repairs
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system, follow safety and security policies, and report hazards, accidents or injuries
• Input air handler schedules and make temperature changes on the computer

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting
• Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus
• No supervisory experience required
• Driver's licence
