AC Technician – Hotel

About the role

Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and servicing of air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment throughout the hotel, ensuring optimal performance, guest comfort, energy efficiency and compliance with engineering standards and UAE health and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all HVAC and air‑conditioning equipment, including FCUs, AHUs, split AC units and package units.
• Inspect, service and repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, cooling coils, filters, belts, bearings, motors, valves and drain systems.
• Respond to AC‑related maintenance requests in guest rooms, restaurants, public areas, offices, kitchens and back‑of‑house areas.
• Diagnose faults, monitor pressures, temperatures, airflow and equipment performance, and complete engineering work orders accurately.
• Maintain chilled‑water systems, pumps, valves, strainers and refrigeration equipment such as cold rooms, freezers and ice machines.
• Identify refrigerant leaks, perform approved recovery and charging procedures, and support BMS‑controlled HVAC equipment monitoring.

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or vocational qualification in HVAC, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as an AC/HVAC Technician, preferably in a 4‑star or 5‑star hotel.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration and basic electrical systems.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and emergency call‑outs.
