Accelerated Command – Airbus First Officer (Dubai)

About the role

Emirates is offering a unique Accelerated Command pathway for experienced Airbus First Officers based in Dubai. After completing a minimum of 700 stick hours and two Evidence Based Training (EBT) modules, you may be assessed for a fast‑track upgrade to command.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the right‑hand seat on Airbus FBW aircraft, delivering safe and efficient flights.
• Accumulate at least 700 stick hours while maintaining performance standards.
• Complete two EBT recurrent training modules as required.
• Participate in the accelerated command assessment process and upgrade course.
• Uphold Emirates’ operational and safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum 5,000 total flight hours (excluding P3, rotary and piston aircraft).
• At least 2,000 command hours on Boeing or Airbus FBW types.
• Minimum 1,000 command hours on Airbus FBW aircraft, flown within the past three years.
• At least 150 hours in the past 12 months on Airbus FBW or Boeing aircraft.
• Valid ICAO ATPL with matching Authority Class 1 Medical.
• ICAO English Level 5 or higher.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating Airbus FBW aircraft.
• Proficiency in operating Boeing FBW aircraft.
• Command experience and decision‑making under pressure.
• Strong understanding of Evidence Based Training principles.
