Account Payable Accountant – Relocate to UAE

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing software development and digital solutions company, is looking for an Account Payable (AP) Accountant to join its finance team in the United Arab Emirates. You will ensure vendor payments are accurate and timely, support month‑end close activities, and help maintain financial integrity across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor payment requests for policy compliance and timely processing.
• Process travel & expense (T&E) and other expense claims, identifying errors before posting.
• Maintain vendor master data and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Post journal entries, manage accruals and estimates, and keep the general ledger up‑to‑date.
• Reconcile vendor balances and bank statements against financial records.
• Prepare month‑end schedules and support the full close process.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and file tax returns, staying current with local tax regulations.
• Act as point of contact for banks, auditors and tax authorities.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5+ years of experience as an AP Accountant or General Accounting Accountant.
• Strong understanding of tech‑industry expense structures, including T&E.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• High integrity with confidential financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
