Accountant – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Sonihull, part of the Alfa Laval group, is seeking an experienced accountant for its Abu Dhabi office. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting activities for the UAE ultrasonics business, supporting the Business Controller and driving finance process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and the General Ledger, ensuring verification, allocation, posting and reconciliation in line with accounting standards.
• Prepare and present accounting reports and financial results to management, supporting month‑end close and statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with local finance teams and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and efficient financial operations.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, automation and internal control.
• Assist with statutory reporting, VAT compliance and regulatory requirements for the UAE entity, and support external audits.
• Utilise Xero and Salesforce to streamline workflows and maintain data integrity across accounting and order‑management processes.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL), preferably within a UAE organisation.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset with a commitment to accurate financial reporting.
• Technically minded and comfortable adopting new tools and technologies.
• Proven ability to identify and implement finance process improvements.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills.
• Formal qualifications are not mandatory; practical experience is valued.
