Accountant / Finance Executive – E‑commerce

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant / Finance Executive to join our new e‑commerce entity. The role will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting and support month‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile e‑commerce sales, marketplace settlements, payment gateways, refunds and returns.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and support month‑end closing.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with VAT, audit and statutory compliance requirements.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions in Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support management with financial analysis and other finance‑related activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Hands‑on accounting/finance experience, preferably in the e‑commerce industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and organizational abilities.
