Accountant - Forex & CFD Brokerage

About the role

Metelite Global is looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Accountant in Dubai to manage the company's financial operations, client transaction reconciliations, accounting records and regulatory tax reporting. The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience, preferably in a Forex/CFD brokerage or financial services firm, and can independently handle daily accounting, payment reconciliations, Introducing Broker (IB) commissions and month-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile client deposits and withdrawals against bank statements, payment gateways, CRM records and trading accounts, and resolve unmatched payments, discrepancies and failed transactions.
• Maintain accounting entries, general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and process vendor payments with proper documentation and approvals.
• Manage monthly payroll calculations, salary records and UAE WPS processes.
• Reconcile brokerage revenue (spreads, commissions, swaps) and IB commissions, rebates and partner payouts, coordinating with the Dealing Desk and Operations teams.
• Maintain VAT records, support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, and prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements and management reports.
• Perform month-end closing, journal adjustments and accruals, and keep audit-ready records for external auditors and tax consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a Forex/CFD brokerage, financial services or trading company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bank reconciliations, journal entries and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and payroll requirements.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Zoho Books, Tally or QuickBooks.
• Previous experience in a Forex/CFD brokerage, familiarity with MetaTrader 5 (MT5), brokerage CRM systems and payment gateways.
• Experience handling IB commissions and trading revenue reconciliations.
