Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant with a strong background in the Hospitality Industry to manage financial transactions, prepare reports, and assist with budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, maintain regulatory compliance, and support the overall financial health of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Process and reconcile daily cash receipts and credit card payments.
• Monitor and track expenses, ensuring alignment with the budget and company goals.
• Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow analysis.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for annual audits and compliance checks.
• Ensure compliance with VAT and other local tax regulations.
• Manage and reconcile hotel/restaurant revenue, including point‑of‑sale and reservations systems.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for business decision‑making.
• Handle banking relationships and manage cash flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3‑5 years of accounting experience in the hospitality industry (hotels, resorts, restaurants).
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
