Accountant

About the role

First Technology is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Accountant in Dubai to manage day‑to‑day financial operations and support the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform backlog reconciliations with payment gateways and sellers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, tax regulations and audit requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits and implement internal controls.
• Review, correct and stabilize accounting gaps, especially inter‑company balances.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide accurate financial data for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in financial accounting, including ledger maintenance and reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of UAE accounting standards, tax regulations and audit processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or CMA is a plus.
• Ability to work on‑site in Dubai, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
