Accountant

About the role

Al Ghurair Giga is seeking a diligent Accountant to support its finance team across the Group. The role focuses on accurate processing of payable and receivable transactions, cash management, and preparation of consolidated cash flow statements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly bank and broker account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with finance managers to compile timely cash flow reports and produce a consolidated Group cash flow for the CFO.
• Monitor outstanding loan payments, calculate finance charges, and ensure timely repayment to avoid penalties.
• Maintain daily cash position, alert management of shortfalls, and arrange cash injections when needed.
• Assist the accounting supervisor with audit schedules, disclosures, budgeting support, and treasury tasks.
• Process bank transfers to suppliers, record portfolio transactions, and report daily gain/loss results.
• Post receipts and debit notes for various expenses to meet month‑end deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of accounting experience in a Group environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial consolidation.
