Accountant – Joinery Division, Abu Dhabi

About the role

Al Khalidiya Group is seeking an Accountant for its Joinery Division in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting transactions, invoicing, payments, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, project‑cost monitoring, financial reporting, and coordination with procurement, production, sales, and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions for the division.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, payments, and accounting records.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Reconcile bank, supplier, customer, and general‑ledger accounts.
• Monitor project‑related costs, expenses, and financial transactions.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, sales, and project teams on financial matters.
• Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, cost reports, and management summaries.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on pending balances.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and project‑profitability analysis.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company accounting procedures.
• Assist with audits, VAT documentation, and other finance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years UAE experience as an Accountant, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Understanding of project costing and cost control is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP accounting software.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic tax accounting requirements.
