Accountant - Luxury Fashion Brand

About the role

Hessa Falasi, a luxury fashion brand specializing in contemporary abayas and couture pieces, is hiring an Accountant for a full-time, on-site position in Dubai. The accountant manages day-to-day financial operations and works closely with the leadership and retail teams.

Key responsibilities

• Record transactions, maintain general ledgers and reconcile bank and cash accounts
• Prepare invoices and track accounts receivable and payable
• Monitor expenses and assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing
• Support budgeting and forecasting, and generate financial reports for management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations, and coordinate with external auditors
• Maintain accurate documentation and help optimize financial processes for retail and couture operations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Prior experience in retail, fashion or luxury brands is preferred, including knowledge of inventory and cost-of-goods accounting
• Knowledge of UAE accounting regulations, tax requirements and compliance standards
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy and strong organization and time management
• Effective written and verbal communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Integrity and confidentiality regarding financial information

Required skills

• General ledger management, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Solid Excel and other MS Office skills
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management

The salary is 3000 to 3500, and immediate joiners who can start within the UAE are required.
