Accountant - UAE and Turkey Cross-Border Finance

About the role

A growing business operating across the UAE and Turkey is looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee finance, accounting, audit and taxation activities in both markets. The role involves regular business travel to Turkey, with all travel expenses fully covered. Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of up to one month are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and financial analyses.
• Support internal audit and coordinate with external auditors.
• Work with the Turkey finance team and external tax advisors on cross-border accounting and tax matters.
• Travel regularly to Turkey to support local finance operations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and taxation regulations.

Required profile

• 3-4 years of accounting experience in Dubai or the UAE.
• Previous experience in internal or external auditing.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Fluency in Arabic and Turkish is mandatory, with strong English.
• Willingness to travel frequently to Turkey.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA or a similar professional qualification in progress or completed is preferred.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Zoho, Odoo, SAP or Tally is desirable.
• Knowledge of financial accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, UAE VAT, corporate tax, auditing and cross-border finance.
• Experience with the Turkish tax system or accounting practices is an advantage.
