Accounting and Logistics Assistant

About the role

A reputable company in Dubai is looking for an experienced Accounting and Logistics Assistant to support both financial operations and import/export logistics. The role combines accounting administration with coordination of shipping documentation and VAT activities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle accounting and administrative support tasks, including journal entries and ERP updates.
• Manage logistics and shipping documentation for import/export operations, verifying BL, PL, COO and Health Certificates.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth processing of shipments.
• Support VAT activities, accruals and pre‑payment processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in accounts and administrative functions.
• Strong background in logistics and shipping operations, including import/export procedures.
• Good understanding of accounting processes, financial documentation and VAT support.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Navision ERP (or similar accounting system) experience.
• Knowledge of import/export documentation and logistics operations.
• Familiarity with VAT, accruals and pre‑payment accounting.
