Accounting Manager (Part-Time, Fully Remote)

About the role

A business-focused organization is looking for an experienced, analytical Accounting Manager to oversee accounting activities, keep financial records accurate and support timely financial reporting. This is a part-time, fully remote position based in the United Arab Emirates, open to mid-level to senior candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations and financial recordkeeping.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Review financial statements, account balances and supporting schedules to identify discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses and other key accounting processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring and financial analysis with management.
• Maintain internal controls so accounting procedures follow company policies and requirements.
• Coordinate audit, tax reporting and other financial compliance documentation.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
• Prepare financial reports and give insights to support management decisions.
• Identify ways to streamline accounting workflows and strengthen financial controls.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting or accounting management preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred; professional certifications are not required.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Required skills

• General accounting principles, reconciliations, financial statements and closing procedures.
• Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
