Accounting & Tax Coordinator (Dubai)

About the role

Golden Goose is seeking an Accounting & Tax Coordinator to build the regional financial foundation for its Dubai headquarters. Reporting to the Regional Head of Finance (MEINA), the role will oversee accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting across the Middle East and North Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end general ledger activities, month‑end and year‑end closing in line with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Serve as the primary regional contact for tax matters, coordinating VAT and corporate tax return submissions with external consultants.
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations with the global headquarters and maintain the SAP Fixed Assets ledger, including depreciation runs and asset capitalization for retail stores.
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior finance team members, fostering a collaborative “one team” environment.
• Lead external and internal audit processes across MEINA countries, preparing financial documentation and statutory statements.
• Partner with the Regional Head of Finance on budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions and retail business development.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of solid experience in accounting and tax roles, preferably in luxury retail or a Big 4 audit firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA or CMA are a strong plus.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and Middle East tax regulations, including UAE corporate tax and VAT.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or Stealth.
• Strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
