Accounts Payable Accountant - Construction Projects

About the role

A full-time Accounts Payable Accountant position in Dubai, open to candidates who must be based in the UAE and come from the construction or project-based industry. The role covers landed cost checks, bank reconciliation and accurate recording of AP liabilities, including import invoices.

Key responsibilities

• Landed cost checking and allocation
• Bank reconciliation and cash/bank management
• Ensure all AP liabilities (local and import) are accurately reflected at month-end, including accruals for goods and services received but not invoiced (GRNI)
• Verify supplier invoices against Purchase Orders (PO), Goods Received Notes (GRN) and delivery/service completion certificates
• Match invoices to approved BOQ / project budget line items and ensure proper 3-way matching (PO-GRN-Invoice) before booking
• Process import purchase invoices against proforma invoice, LC terms and PO, and verify import documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin and Insurance Certificate

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CA Inter / CMA / ACCA part-qualified preferred
• 5-6 years of relevant AP experience, with at least 2 years in a construction, contracting or project-based organisation
• Prior exposure to import procurement, LC processing and landed cost accounting is essential
• Native Hindi speaker

Required skills

• Experience with ODOO ERP or similar
• Strong Excel skills
