Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

Frank Porter is looking for an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join its Finance team in Dubai. The role covers monitoring reservation payments, reconciling booking platform settlements, tracking outstanding receivables and supporting revenue and property owner reporting across holiday homes operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily reservations and payment status, keeping accurate trackers for unpaid bookings, security deposits and client payments
• Prepare daily guest payout and payment reconciliation files and reports, flagging and escalating overdue balances
• Issue invoices, receipts, credit notes and statements of account, and investigate account discrepancies
• Reconcile payouts from direct bookings, Airbnb, Booking.com, Avantio and other platforms, and reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways, cash receipts and platform settlements
• Investigate settlement differences, transaction fees, duplicate payments and unidentified receipts, and monitor refunds, chargebacks and failed or reversed transactions
• Reconcile property-level net rental income, management fees and commissions against guest payment reports, and support monthly owner financial statements
• Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and collection summaries, and support month-end closing and revenue reconciliations
• Ensure invoices and credit notes meet UAE VAT requirements and provide records for tax compliance, reporting obligations and audits
• Follow approval procedures for refunds and credit notes, protect confidential information, and coordinate with Reservations on payment verification before check-in

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Approximately 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Understanding of UAE VAT and basic tax compliance
• Experience in holiday homes, hospitality, hotels, serviced apartments or property management preferred; experience reconciling OTA settlements and online booking transactions is an advantage

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; Xero experience preferred
• Strong numerical accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good written and spoken English
