Acute Medicine Specialist

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Acute Medicine Specialist. The specialist provides rapid assessment, diagnosis and management of adults presenting with acute medical illnesses, ensuring timely treatment and high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients presenting with acute medical conditions
• Diagnose and treat conditions such as sepsis, respiratory infections, acute cardiac symptoms and metabolic emergencies
• Perform rapid clinical assessments and initiate appropriate investigations and treatment
• Stabilize patients and coordinate admissions, referrals or transfers when required
• Manage complex cases with emergency medicine and other specialist teams
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans according to clinical response
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care and maintain accurate medical records following clinical protocols

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• MD/DNB in Internal Medicine or an equivalent postgraduate qualification
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred
• Experience managing acute medical admissions and medical emergencies
