Adjunct Faculty - Engineering

About the role

The Higher Colleges of Technology seeks qualified professionals to join as Adjunct Faculty in Engineering. The role involves delivering undergraduate instruction, supporting capstone projects, and fostering a student‑centric learning environment for second‑language learners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective instruction in assigned engineering courses, including capstone projects, work‑experience modules and senior‑level specialized subjects.
• Participate actively in academic and extra‑curricular events at the college and within the community.
• Engage in applied research, outreach activities and industry collaborations as needed.
• Teach up to nine credit hours per semester, with workdays typically Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑8:00 PM, according to the teaching schedule.

Required profile

• Master’s degree and a professional certification relevant to the engineering discipline (or a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience and certification).
• Minimum of five years relevant industry experience, preferably in engineering.
• Ability to teach second‑language learners in a student‑centric environment and respect diverse cultures.
• Report to the Program Coordinator of the respective division.
