Advanced Spectral & Geo Mapping Senior Specialist

About the role

The Advanced Spectral & Geo Mapping Senior Specialist will lead the development and operational use of cutting‑edge spectral‑imaging and geospatial mapping technologies to support unmanned aircraft system (UAS) monitoring and airspace protection in Dubai. This senior role combines spatial analytics, spectral‑signature interpretation and geospatial intelligence to enhance the city’s readiness for future air‑mobility ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain advanced spectral‑imaging models for UAS detection, classification and anomaly identification.
• Design, enhance and manage high‑accuracy geo‑mapping databases and spatial layers for UAS monitoring.
• Integrate spectral and geospatial datasets with UAS detection platforms, smart‑city systems and national aviation databases.
• Conduct spatial analysis to identify activity patterns, risk zones and operational hotspots.
• Produce high‑resolution operational maps for UAS corridors, restricted zones and sensitive‑area protection.
• Provide spectral‑signature analysis, geo‑referenced evidence and intelligence reports for investigations.
• Evaluate, test and recommend new imaging, mapping and remote‑sensing technologies.
• Create interactive geo‑dashboards and visualization tools for reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity and compliance with geospatial standards.
• Coordinate with government entities to align mapping outputs with urban‑planning and national UAS databases.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in geospatial analysis, spectral imaging or related fields.
• Proven expertise in developing and managing geo‑mapping databases.
• Strong understanding of UAS operations, airspace regulations and smart‑city integration.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
