Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment

About the role

Under direct supervision, the Advisor – Safety, Health & Environment will support AECOM’s projects in the United Arab Emirates by ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards and relevant regulations. This entry‑level position involves assisting in the development and maintenance of safety programs and contributing to a safe workplace for all staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic duties across a range of EHS disciplines to meet ES&H standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
• Monitor workplace hazards and potential health risks.
• Help investigate accidents, injuries and hazard‑related complaints.
• Contribute to recommendations for process, design, procedure and equipment improvements to reduce risks.
• Participate in employee training, emergency preparedness activities and ensure program quality.
