AI and Automation Lead

About the role

The AI and Automation Lead will steer Innovo Group’s AI strategy, focusing initially on Generative AI and practical business applications while maintaining a broader vision for future AI capabilities. This senior position blends strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery to identify high‑value opportunities, build internal capability, and ensure responsible, scalable adoption across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the AI and automation strategy and roadmap aligned with business priorities, value, risk and capacity.
• Collaborate with IT Business Partners, portfolio managers and technology teams to assess, prioritise and govern AI opportunities.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of AI solutions from discovery through design, build, release, operation, improvement and retirement.
• Establish standards and governance for secure, maintainable, cost‑aware AI and automation solutions.
• Build internal capabilities, reusable components, documentation and knowledge‑transfer processes, coordinating external partners when needed.
• Improve AI literacy by providing practical guidance and ensuring ethical, transparent use of AI with appropriate human oversight.
• Define testing, monitoring, incident and retirement practices while tracking adoption, quality, risk, cost and business impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline (relevant certifications preferred).
• Typically 8+ years of experience in AI, data science, automation or software engineering.
• Proven ability to lead complex AI initiatives and drive organisational change.
